This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice that appeared in UN Development Business No. 644 of 16 December 2004.
The Russian Federation has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of a Municipal Water and Wastewater Project, and intends to apply part of the loan proceeds to payments under a contract for construction of pipeline in the city of Novocherkassk.
The National Foundation for Housing Reform (NFHR) acting on behalf of Novocherkassk Vodokanal now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for procurement of works for construction of water pipeline in the city of Novocherkassk, which include preparatory works, water pipeline construction, installation of shafts, dismantling and restoration of roads and fences.
Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the NFHR and inspect the bidding documents at the address below, on workdays from 1000 to 1700 hours.
A complete set of the bidding documents in the English language may be received by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address below.
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 1500 hours (Moscow time) on 21 October 2005, be accompanied by a security amount of US$ 100,000 or an equivalent amount in RUR or in a freely convertible currency. They will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of bidders who choose to attend, at the same address. Late bids will be rejected.
