Samsun Solid Management Project : Supply of mobile equipment for landfill
1.The Metropolitan Municipality of Samsun has received credit (hereinafter called `credit`) from the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) towards the cost of the Samsun Solid Management Project for the Metropolitan Municipality of Samsun. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this credit will be applied to eligible payments under the contracts for procurement of mobile equipment.
2.The open tender for mobile equipment is grouped into 4 lots. For the lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, bidding is open to all eligible bidders.
3.The Metropolitan Municipality of Samsun now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of mobile equipment for landfill. The open tender for the mobile equipment is grouped in 4 lots named:
lot 1: refuse compactor;
lot 2: excavator and front loader;
lot 3: dumper;
lot 4: tank truck.
Bidders are free to bid for 1, 2, 3, or for all lots.
However, bidders are obliged to bid for all items within 1 lot.
(All sub items of 1 lot have to be offered; otherwise the offer will be rejected.)
4.Interested bidders should purchase bidding documents at the office of:

5.A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested bidder on the submission of written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of EUR 100 or the same sum in YTL (based on the daily exchange rate of the Central Bank of Turkey). If the bidder is interested to obtain further sets of documents he may purchase, each set at the same price.
6.Cost of bidding documents shall be paid to the Metropolitan Municipality of Samsun Incomes Directorate and the documents shall be received from the Department of Environmental Protection against receipt.
7.After payment of the fee to the bank account, the bidding documents will be handed over to the bidder in the above-mentioned office (the receipt has to be presented). In the case the bidder does not purchase the bidding documents he will not be allowed to submit a bid.
8.All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, equivalent to 3 % of the bid price, issued by a bank acceptable to the employer and KfW located in Turkey as `within the limits` type or in acceptable form issued by a foreign bank.
The bids must be delivered in the original English version and 2 copies of the English and 3 copies of the Turkish version to the office of:
Metropolitan Municipality of Samsun, in cooperation with the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau, Samsun Büyükşehir Belediyesi, Katı Atık Yönetimi Projesi 55020 Samsun, Turkey, before 28.3.2006 (10:00).
9.Bids will be opened in the presence of those bidders` representatives who choose to attend on 28.3.2006 (11:00) at the offices of Metropolitan Samsun Municipality.
10.This tender is not bound with the requirements of the State Tender Law No 2886 and 4734 of the Republic of Turkey. Employer is free to award the contract to any bidder it regards eligible.
11.The employer does not bind himself to award a contract to any of the bidders.
