Anotace tendru:

Vláda Keni obdržela od Mezinárodní Asociace pro rozvoj (IDA) prostředky na financování projektu Restrukturalizace vodovodního a kanalizačního systému v Nairobi a část prostředků hodlá použít na nákup betonového potrubí šachteních uzávěrů, HDPE a GI potrubí, mechanických spojů, izolačních ventilů a vybraných elektro-mechanických zařízení (Loty 1-6, viz níže). Vhodní zájemci mohou písemně požádat o zaslání kompletní tendrové dokumentace po zaplacení nevratného poplatku 5.000,- Kes (nebo ekvivalentu ve volně směnitelné měně). Nabídky musí být podány nejpozději do 16.března 2007 do 12:00 spolu se zárukou za nabídku ve výši 100.000,- Kes (nebo ekvivalentu ve volně směnitelné měně) pro každý Lot. Při podání více nabídek je možné záruky kumulovat.

The goods shall be comprised of concrete pipes, manhole rings and accessories, HDPE and GI pipes, mechanical joints and couplings, isolating valves and assorted electro-mechanical spare parts for treatment works.

This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice that appeared in UN Development Business No. 663 of 30 September 2005.

The Government of Kenya (GOK) has received a Grant from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the Nairobi Water and Sewerage Institutional Restructuring Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to cover eligible payments under the contract No. NWSC/3/01/07 for the supply and delivery of concrete pipes, manhole rings and accessories, HDPE and GI pipes, mechanical joints and couplings, isolating valves and assorted electro-mechanical spare parts in lots as detailed below.

Lot 2: HDPE pipes and fittings

Lot 3: GI pipes

Lot 4: Mechanical joints and couplings

Lot 5: Isolating valves

Lot 6: Assorted electro-mechanical spare parts

Bidders have the option to bid for any one or more lots. Bids will be evaluated and contract(s) awarded for each lot taking into account discounts offered if any, for combined lots in determining the lowest evaluated cost of all lots which will be the basis for award of the contract(s). However, bids not offering all t he items in a lot will be treated as incomplete and rejected as non- responsive.

The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and delivery of the items described above.

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, January 1995 (revised January and August 1996, September 1997, and January 1999) and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company, Industrial Area, Kampala Road (at the address below) from 0800 to 1700 hours (local time), Mondays to Fridays except during lunch time (1300 to 1400 hours), and public holidays from the office of the Managing Director of the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company at the address below.

A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kes 5,000 or an equivalent amount in any freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be either in bankers’ check payable to the Managing Director, Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company, or cash.

Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 1200 hours on 16 March 2007 and shall be valid for a period of 90 days after their submission deadline. Late bids will be rejected. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than:

For more than one lot, the bid security shall not be less than the sum of the bid securities of the separate lots in form of a bank guarantee or an equivalent amount in any freely convertible currency. They will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend, at the same address.

Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company reserve the right to accept /reject all or part of the Bids and is not bound to give reasons for doing so.
