Federální vláda Nigérie obdržela od Mezinárodní Asociace pro Rozvoj úvěrovou linku ve výši 120 mil. USD na pokrytí nákladů projektu reformy vodovodního sektoru a část prostředků hodlá použít na platby kontraktu na rehabilitaci vodovodního systému v metropolitním městě Kaduna. Vodovodní úřad ve státě Kaduna (KSWB) nyní vyzývá zájemce o účast ve výběrových řízeních na rehabilitaci čistíren odpadních vod a retranslačních stanic. V metropoli státu Kaduna v Nigérii, včetně stavebních, mechanických a elektrikářských prací. Doba výstavby bude 15 měsíců. Vhodní zájemci o účast ve výběrovém řízení (kritéria viz níže) mohou zakoupit kompletní tendrovou dokumentaci po zapacení nevratného poplatku 100,- USD nebo 15.000,- Naira. Nabídky musí být podány na níže uvedené adrese nejpozději do 21. srpna 2007 do 10:00 místního času. Spolu s nabídkou musí být podána záruka za nabídku ve výši 150.000,- USD nebo 19.500.000,- Naira.

1. This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in UN Development Business, issue No. 633 dated 30th June, 2004

2. The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has received a credit facility of US$ 120 million from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the First National Urban Water Sector Reform Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for Rehabilitation of Water Treatment Plants and Booster Stations for Kaduna Metropolitan Water Supply Scheme.

3. The Kaduna State Water Board (KSWB) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply and Installation of Plant and Equipment for the Rehabilitation of Water Treatment Plants and Booster Stations for Kaduna Metropolitan Water Supply Scheme covering civil, mechanical and electrical works. The Project area is Kaduna Metropolis and is located between Latitudes 10°24’ to 10°40’ North and Longitude 7°20’ and 7°30’ east.

4. The delivery/construction period is 15 month

5. Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (May 2004 edition), and is open to bidders from all countries as defined in the guidelines

6. Qualifications requirements include the following minimum conditions

a. Possession of experience as a Prime Contractor for at least the last three (3) years prior to the application submission deadline.

b. Annual turnover in Supply and Installation of Plant and Equipment of at least USD 14,385,460.00 in at least two years in the last five years in activities that have been successfully and substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed Supply and Installation under this Contract;

c. Have a Project Manager with at least 15 years experience in Supply and Installation of Plant and Equipment of equivalent nature and volume, including not less than 5 years as Manager among its core staff and shall have a minimum of Bsc degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;

d. Own a substantial proportion of the equipment and tools required to successfully execute the Contract;

e. Provide Annual audited account for the last 3 years;

f. For the last three (3) years to demonstrate:

i. The current soundness of the applicant’s financial position and its prospective long term profitability, and

ii. Have Liquidity and/or evidence of access to or availability of confirmed positive credit facilities of not less than USD1,918,062.00.

7. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Kaduna State Water Board and inspect the bidding documents at the address below from Mondays to Fridays (except public holidays) from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

8. A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of USD 100.00 or Naira 15,000.00. The method of payment will be by Bank Draft made in favour of the Kaduna State Water Board. The Bidding Documents will be collected by hand or sent by courier services on request.

9. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 21st August 2007 at 10.00 am. Electronic bidding “shall not” be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened physically in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 10.00 am, on 21st August 2007.

10. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of USD 150,000.00 or Naira 19,500,000.00 from a Bank acceptable to the Employer.
