A Turkish R&D company, active in environmental and clean technologies, has developed a new process for waste water treatment in melamine urea formaldehyde resin production facilities. The offered technology supplies improved treatment via simplified process. The Turkish company seeks potential partners for signing license and / or technical cooperation agreements.
Description: The Turkish company is well versed in employing the most environmental friendly and clean technologies. The company is focused in the areas of industrial waste water treatment, recovery of water, acid, caustic, valuable metals from the effluents and reuse while aiming zero discharge in all of their processes. The company´s self-developed technology and know-how is primarily based on utilizing membrane & hybrid processes, as a result creating integrated solutions. They specialize in providing unique solutions to the problems presented by its customers´ industrial waste water problems. The company´s approach to these often specific and difficult challenges is always to start in the lab as research and development project and after its successful confirmation of their process having been proven to be both scientifically and economically viable is then to transfer to real life environment and further develop on site if required. The company provides its customers technical support, consultancy service throughout not only in its process but also in designing, commissioning and the erection of the treatment plant, help with the chemicals to be used if so desired. The Turkish company has developed a novel method for waste water treatment in Melamine urea formaldehyde resin production facilities. The unique process supplies improved treatment of heavy pollution load in the wastewater from raisin plants. Advantages and Innovations: Instead of conventional process which is very difficult to treat biologically, sustainable novel approach is developed, supplying improved treatment via simplified process.
Technical Specification or Expertise Sought: The process is based on heating up the water containing phenol and formaldehyde by evaporation after coagulation of waste water and filtration steps. As it is known, in this kind of facilities, when formaldehyde production takes place, huge amount of energy is released. (Exothermic reaction) Thus, waste water containing phenol and formaldehyde which are very difficult to treat biologically is evaporated by the waste energy. Energy gained by this waste pyrolysed at 700°C, 800°C. As a result, wet cake obtained from filtration is disposed of.
