Systém pro využití "šedé" vody a rekuperaci tepla z ní
PopisPOD Reference: TOUK20140129002
Summary:
A Scottish SME has developed a simple and effective proven product which reduces
domestic and commercial water consumption by 30%. The system collects greywater
from baths and showers, passes it through a filtration and disinfectant process,
then reuses it in flushing toilets. The company's success in the UK has prompted
a global expansion, particularly in areas of high water stress. License
agreements or technical collaboration is sought within the domestic and
commercial building sectors.

Description:
A Scottish SME has developed a simple and effective proven product which reduces domestic and commercial water consumption by 30%. The system collects greywater from baths and showers, passes it through a filtration and disinfectant process then reuses the water for flushing toilets.
The system has 2 variants:
(i) A greywater filtration and reuse system.
(ii) A greywater system which offers the additional benefit of recovering heat from the greywater prior to flushing. A heat exchanger in the tank extracts heat which can be used to pre-warm the cold feed to a combi-boiler or conventional hot water cylinder. This reduces demand on the existing hot water system.
Both systems retain up to 120 litres of treated water and can supply up to 8 toilets; 2 toilets by gravity feed and a further 6 toilets via a pumped feed. The units comply to BS8525 (British water safety standard), are CE approved and are SAP Appendix Q recognised.
Ideal for both new build and refurbishment projects, the compact design enables the unit to fit into a variety of different areas within a building. The company's success in the United Kingdom has prompted a planned expansion into the global markets and the company now seeks licence agreements or technical collaboration within the domestic and commercial building sectors. Particular interest in regions of high water stress, United Kingdom, Mediterranean corridor, Israel, UAE, South Africa, North America, Canada, South America, Australia and Mexico.
Physical specification: Height, 1.13m; Width, 0.98m; Depth, 0.267m; Weight, 48kg (empty); Storage Capacity, 120 litres; Tank Material, HDPE (High Density Polyethylene); Mounting, wall brackets or standing with optional legs. A wide range of installation options.
Advantages and Innovations:
Can reduce water consumption by 30% whilst also saving up to 50% of the energy used to heat bath and shower water, providing a typical payback period of 3 to 7 years.
Stage of Development: Already on the market
IPR status: Patent(s) applied for but not yet granted
Type and Role of Partner Sought:
Specifiers (architects, consultants, code assessors), Contractors, Developers, Housing Associations, Local Authorities are sought to license the system or work in technical cooperation so the system can be adapted to specific needs or in line with specific building regulations.
Type of Partnership Considered: License agreement
Technical cooperation agreement
