Main features of 71-154 street car:
|
- 71-154M is an eight-axle street car belonging to low-floor cars by PTMZ OJSC designed and manufactured by St. Petersburg car makers in 2009. The tram features both cutting- edge and time-proved technical solutions, components and materials, previously field-tested on models 71-152 and 71-153 and 71-154;
- The main difference is that the car has three sections;
- In case of any failure each car can move without exterior traction as it has four independent traction mechanisms - one four each bogie, therefore it can move using three, two or only one bogie;
- The car has eight 90 kW rotary field motors to comply with the provisions of technical norms and regulations for tunnels with increased air drag;
- Bogie with two-stage springing system and vibro-reducing rubberized 620 mm BonaTrans wheels provides 750 mm elevation (unlike previous models with 710 mm wheels providing 900 mm elevation);
- Interior layout (two wide door openings and a platform in low-floor section of the car) helps to speed up boarding/alighting and improves transportation conditions for disabled persons and passengers with baby buggies;
- A standard layout includes 56 seats, which also contributes to higher comfort of transportation;
- Glued tinted Tamware panes contribute to stylish appearance, protect from intense sunlight and allow no leaks;
- Electric heating installed on cab´s wind-shield and side windows;
- Exterior and interior panels, made of polymer materials, exclude corrosion and extend body service life ;
- The car is equipped with the "Lincoln" automatic centralized lubrication system;
- Advanced electric braking system ensures slowdown within the set braking distance, mechanical brake applies at 0 speed to minimize brake shoe wear;
- Anti-sliding and anti-skidding car systems reduce rail impact and make any slowdown process controllable;
- The car is equipped with hill holder, helpful at starting the tram on a slope;
- The main appliances are placed on the car roof and in the technical compartment of the cab;
- The wiring was done using Harting connectors, which ensure highly reliable connections, smooth and easy interconnection and disconnection of circuits, minimize likelihood of misassembly and does not require any special maintenance;
- Traction drive system is equipped with so-called "blackbox" registering all video information (accidents and incidents in the car) that may be later used for analysis;
- Video control system helps the operator to monitor the car and the driveway. Besides, the "black box" records and stores information on a hard drive. This information can be extracted and analyzed afterwards, and may stand a good stead in case of accident or incident;
- The car uses two collecting pantographs with Czech electric drive "LEKOV" and modified and forced carriage adopted for overhead contact system, common in Russia. The pantograph working range is 3 500 - 6 000 mm from the top of a rail;
- Two Hubner coupling sets are installed in the car;
- The interior of the car is decorated with several lines of luminous tubes, equipped with high power electric blower heaters used for its heating and ventilation, scrolling text panel and emergency door opening system;
- Additional fresh air inflow is achieved by the four roof hatches with built-in fans;
- Tramware doors are equipped with injury-preventing mechanism and anti-jam function;
- Operator´s control panel is made based on the automated computer system with touch screen display;
- Rear view mirrors with defrosting system have remote control option;
- Operator´s cab is reasonably comfortable and equipped with air conditioning system .
