EU - European Topic Centre on Resource and Waste Management
A new European Topic Centre on Resource and Waste Management replaced the former
ETC on Waste and Material Flows on 1 January 2005. The Danish Topic Centre on
Waste remains the lead organisation, and the physical headquarters also remain
at the present location in Copenhagen. The Danish Topic Centre on Waste is an
independent body established by the Danish Ministry of Environment in 1997 to
act as the lead organisation in the Topic Centre. In addition to the Danish Lead
organisation, the new consortium consists of the following six partners: The
Austrian Umweltbundesamt The Wuppertal Institute from Germany The Estonian
Environment Information Centre The Regional Environmental Center for Central and
Eastern Europe located in Szentendre, Hungary The Italian Agency for the
Protection of the Environment and for Technical Services The Environment Agency
