Gibraltarská skála
Gibraltar is the southernmost point in Europe. Gibraltar's name comes from the
Arabic Jebel Tariq (Mount of Tarik) after the Muslim conquerer who landed here
in 711 CE to take Iberia for Islam. The Rock is primarily limestone of Jurassic
age and is riddled with caves, both above and below sea level. These contain
fossils of Neogene animals and early humans.
