The aim of the tender is to procure through The Council’s tendering procedures 30,000 wheeled bin compatible with diamond lifting equipment.
The provision of these bins is to facilitate the collection of Newspapers and Magazines from the more rural properties in Aberdeenshire.

Bin Specification: The bins will need to conform to EN-840-1 and be compatible with DIAMOND lifting equipment. A percentage of post consumer recycled plastic should be included if conformity with EN-840-1 can be maintained and the guarantee period remains unaffected. A suitable holder or location to fit an ID chip must also form part of the wheeled bin construction.
Delivery.
The contractor should be aware that this service is to be supplied to the more remote villages comprising of settlements of less than 300 properties and individual properties in the more rural parts of Aberdeenshire. Deliveries will be to the door of individual properties.
Promotion and Information.
Prices should include an adequate amount to provide a leaflet to each household receiving a bin. The leaflet (content to be detailed later) will give information as to the service to be delivered.
