procurement notice for this project that appeared in UN Development Business No.
568 of 16 October 2001. The Russian Federation has received a loan from the
International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of
a Municipal Water and Wastewater Project, and it intends to apply part of the
loan proceeds to payments under the contract for the rehabilitation of a
chemical shop and a pumping station at the Votkinsk Vodokanal water treatment
plant. The Central Project Implementation Unit of the National Foundation for
Housing Reform (CPIU) acting on behalf of the Votkinsk Vodokanal now invites
sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following two components: Component 1:
Replacement of water pumps and suction pipe at pumping station No. 2 located at
the water works Component 2: Rehabilitation of a chemical shop at the water
works including: --Replacement of the coagulant equipment --Replacement of the
polymer equipment --Replacement of soda dosing pumps Bidders shall bid for both
components. Partial bids are not accepted. Bidding will be conducted through the
international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the World Banks
Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all
bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from the CPIU and inspect the
bidding documents at the address given below workdays from 1000 to 1700 hours. A
complete set of the bidding documents in the English language may be purchased
by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address
below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of US$ 100 (20 per cent VAT
included) per set or its equivalent in Russian rubles at the exchange rate
notified by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on the date of payment.
On request, the document will be sent by courier mail service at the recipient’s
expense. The method of payment for the documents and optional courier mail will
be direct deposit into one of the two following accounts: For payment in Russian
