Procurement NoticeCountry: Azerbaijan Project: PRIVATE SECTOR INVOLVEMENT IN THE PROVISION OF WATER AND WASTEWATER SERVICES IN GREATER BAKU Financing: World Bank Abstract: CONSULTING SERVICES Sector: Consultants Loan/Credit Number: Project ID No. P080433 Contract/Bid Number: Expressions of Interest Deadline: 11 November 2002 By the request of the Government of Azerbaijan the World Bank intends to finance the assignment/services described below under the multi-donor trust fund: the Public-Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility (PPIAF). The services include: (i) support to the Government of Azerbaijan in the establishment of a regulatory system capable of efficient oversight of the private operator; (ii) social and poverty analysis of the private sector participation transaction; (iii) supplemental analysis and development of action plan to enhance the possibilities for success of the private sector participation transaction; and (iv) provision of training to assigned officials in contract regulation and supervision. The World Bank now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (e.g., brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff). Consultants may wish to associate to enhance their qualifications. Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Banks Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, January 1997 (revised September 1997, January 1999 and May 2002).
