Tender follows the General Procurement Notice for this project, which was
published on the EBRDs Web site in the Procurement Opportunities section on 25
February 2002. JP Isar, Stip, hereinafter referred to as \"the Employer, Lot 1\"
and JKP Derven, Veles, hereinafter referred to as \"the Employer, Lot 2 intend
using part of the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction
and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of water distribution network
rehabilitation. The Employers now invite sealed tenders from contractors for the
following contracts to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan: Lot 1.
JP Isar, Stip. Design, execution and completion of the laying of approximately
6.2 km of trunk and principal mains in diameters ranging from 350 to 600 mm;
rehabilitation of approximately 2.0 km of secondary and service pipelines in
diameters ranging from 32 to 160 mm and the rehabilitation of approximately 0.4
km of sewerage pipelines in diameters 250 and 315 mm within the Municipality of
Stip, Macedonia. Pipe materials to be used will be ductile iron (1-st variant)
or polyethylene (2-nd variant) for trunk and principal mains and polyethylene
for secondary, service and sewerage lines. Tenderers will have no opportunity to
propose alternative pipe materials. Lot 2. JKP Derven, Veles. Design, execution
and completion of the laying of approximately 1.1 km of principal mains in
diameters ranging from 400 to 500 mm; rehabilitation of approximately 3.3 km of
secondary pipelines in diameters ranging from 90 to 315 mm and rehabilitation of
approximately 0.9 km of service pipelines within the Municipality of Veles,
Macedonia. Pipe materials to be used will be ductile iron for principal mains
and polyethylene for secondary and service lines. Tenderers will have no
opportunity to propose alternative pipe materials. Tenders are invited for one
or more lots. Each lot must be priced separately. Tenders for more than one lot
may offer discounts and such discounts will be considered in the comparison of
tenders. Tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from
the Bank is open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Banks loan will
not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any
import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the
United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the
United Nations. To be qualified for the award of a contract, tenderers shall be
reputable and experienced local and/or foreign contractors and shall have
relevant experience in the design, execution and completion of the
rehabilitation and extension of the water distribution networks. Tender
documents may be obtained from the office at the address below on the submission
of a written application and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 160.00 Euro
or equivalent in a convertible currency. If requested, the documents may be
dispatched by mail or courier outside of FYR Macedonia upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of 210.00 Euro. All tenders must be accompanied by tender
securities of 35,000.00 Euro for Lot 1 and 30,000.00 Euro for Lot 2 or their
equivalent in a convertible currency. Tenders must be delivered to the office at
the address of JKP Derven, Veles at or before 12:00 hours (local time) on 15
April 2003, at which time they will be opened in the presence of those tenderers

Tenders are invited for one or more lots. Each lot must be priced separately. Tenders for more than one lot may offer discounts and such discounts will be considered in the comparison of tenders.
Tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Banks loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.
