Procurement Notice for this project, which was published on the EBRDs Web site
in Procurement Opportunities on 17 March 2003. JP \"Vodovod\"-Kumanovo,
hereinafter referred to as \" the Employer\", intends using part of the proceeds
of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank)
towards the cost of the upgrading of water treatment plants & pumping stations
complete with civil works. The Employer invites sealed tenders from contractors
for the following contract to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan:
The supply of Roofing Construction and related appurtenances, to be mounted
above the rapid filters and sedimentation basins, complete with civil works; The
supply of floor crane (load of 500 kg); The supply of filter floor plates with
nozzles, filter media and related appurtenances, to be installed at all filters,
complete with civil works; The rehabilitation of the filter concrete baffles
with stainless steel and related appurtenances, complete with civil works; The
supply of automatic aluminium sulphate dosing (flow meter, turbidity
measurement, controller for automatic matching, distribution board etc.) and
related appurtenances, to be installed in the water treatment plant, complete
with civil works. Tenders must cover all items. Tendering for contracts to be
financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms from any
country. The proceeds of the Banks loan will not be used for the purpose of any
payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or
import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken
under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. To be qualified for the
award of a contract, the tenderers shall be reputable and experienced local
and/or foreign contractors. Associations of a local contractor with an
experienced foreign contractor are encouraged. Tender documents may be obtained
from the office at the address below on the submission of a written application
and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of €120 or equivalent in a convertible
currency. If requested, the documents may dispatched by mail or courier outside
of Macedonia upon payment of non-refundable fee of €180. All tenders must be
accompanied by a tender security of €10,000 (ten thousand euro), or equivalent
in international convertible currency. Tenders must be delivered to the office
at the address of JP \"Vodovod\", Kumanovo, on or no later than 14 May 2003 at
12:00 p.m. (local time) at which time they will be opened in the presence of
