Anotace tendru:

Vláda Malawi obdržela úvěr od Světové banky (WB) na financování projektu „National Water Development Project II“ a zamýšlí část těchto prostředků použít na financování rekonstrukce vodovodní sítě. Bližší informace viz níže.
Vhodní zájemci o účast ve výběrovém řízení (kritéria viz níže) mohou zakoupit kompletní tendrovou dokumentaci na základě písemné žádosti a po zaplacení nevratného poplatku ve výši MK30000 nebo USD 200 na níže uvedené adrese, kde je též možno získat více informací o projektu, případně nahlédnout do tendrové dokumentace, a to v době mezi 7:30-17:00. Nabídky musí být doručeny na níže uvedenou adresu nejpozději do 15. dubna 2009 do 14:00 hodin místního času. Spolu s nabídkou musí být poskytnuta záruka za nabídku ve MK 9250000 nebo ekvivalentu ve volně směnitelné měně.

1. This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for National Water Development Project (NWDP) II that appeared in the UN Development Business issue no. WB 4726-712 of 24th September 2007.

2. The Government of the Republic of Malawi has received a grant/credit from the International Development Association (IDA) under the National Water Development Project II coordinated by the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Development, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments under the contract for Supply, Installation and Construction of priority rehabilitation, upgrading and expansion works for Mzuzu Water Supply Scheme.

3. The Northern Region Water Board now invites sealed bids from eligible contractors/bidders for the construction of 2 reinforced concrete sedimentation tanks, 2 reinforced concrete rapid sand filters, removal of existing surface pumps and supply and installation of seven new surface pumps at water treatment plant, supply and laying of transmission pipelines 32,000m long with diameters ranging from 250mm to 400mm, construction of pumping stations at MBC and Katawa tank sites and supply and installation of five and three new surface pumps at MBC and Katawa tank sites respectively, construction of 1 No. 2,000m3 reinforced concrete tank at MBC tank site and other related activities.

The supply, installation and construction period is 12 months.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all Contractors/bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Bidding Documents.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Northern Region Water Board, Private Bag 94, Mzuzu, Malawi, Attention: Mr M.A. Mtawali, Tel (265) 8 824 381 Fax (265) 1 310 082 E-mail: mtawali@nrwb.org.mw and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 07:30 to 17:00 hours.

6. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK30,000 or US$ 200 or equivalent in a freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be cash or Bank certified cheque at the Northern Region Water Board cash office. The Bidding Documents will be collected by the interested bidder.

7. Bids shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after bid opening and must be accompanied by security of MK9,250,000.00 or equivalent in a freely convertible currency and shall be delivered to the Northern Region Water Board, Private Bag 94, Mzuzu, Malawi on or before 15th April 2009 at 14:00 hours local time at which time they will be opened in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend. Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.

The Northern Region Water Board takes no responsibility for late delivery, damage or loss of documents sent by courier.
