Bydgoszcz Water Supply and Sewerage Services Development Programme Modernization of Pumping Station at the Second Pressure Zone, Filarecka Street Pumping Station, in the City of Bydgoszcz, Poland Miejskie Wodociagi Kanalizacja Bydgoszcz (known as MWiK), hereinafter referred to as \"the Employer\", intends using part of the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the modernization of a pumping station at the second pressure zone, Filarecka Street Pumping Station, in the City of Bydgoszcz, Poland. The Employer now invites sealed tenders from contractors for the following contract to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan:- \"The installation and commissioning of a new booster pumping plant and equipment at Filarecka Street Pumping Station, Bydgoszcz, together with associated pipe work, building services and construction work.\" The type of contract to be let, is a \"lump sum\" contract, based on the detailed designs and contract drawings, which are attached to the tender documents. Tendering for the contract, which is to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank, is open to firms from any country. To be qualified for the award of the contract, tenderers must satisfy the following minimum criteria :- \"To be able to show previous satisfactory experience in the construction, installation and commissioning of similar pumping installations, as set out under the Qualifying Requirements in the Tender Data \" The tender documents have been prepared in hard copy (tender documents) and design documentation in electronic form on a CD ROM, which may be obtained from the office at the address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 1500 Polish Zlotys (PLN) 22% VAT, or equivalent in convertible currency. Prepayments for the documents, can be made by bank transfer (please supply bank transfer slip) to the MWiK’s Bankers at Miejskie Wodociagi I Kanalizacja Sp. Z o.o. w Bydgoszczy; Bank PeKaO S.A. II O/Bydgoszcz account no. 11001034-907455-2101-111-0 , for which a invoice will be supplied. If requested, the documents will be promptly dispatched by courier (delivery payment by Order), but no liability can be accepted for loss or late delivery. All tenders must be accompanied by a tender security of 50 000 Polish Zlotys (PLN), or its equivalent in a convertible currency. Tenders must be delivered to the office at the address below at or before 12:00 hours local time on 26 April 2002, at which time they will be opened in the presence of those tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend.
