This request for expression of interest follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in UN Development Business No. 567 of 30 September 2001. The Government of Indonesia has received a loan (with Credit and GEF Grant) from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA), and intends to apply part of the loan and credit proceeds to payment under the contract for the preparation of Banten Province environmental strategy (TA Project No. BANTEN 3-1). The service includes technical assistance to support Bapedalda Provinsi Banten to prepare an environmental strategy for the Banten Province. Eligible consultants are now invited to indicate their interest in providing the service. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar condition, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc). A consultant may associate to enhance their qualifications. Consultants will be selected using the Quality Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, January 1997 (revised September 1997, January 1999 and May 2002).
