Dirt separator for higher thermal efficiency

In air conditioning systems, the circulation of water containing impurities may result in rapid wear and damage to circuit components such as pumps and control valves. It also causes blockages in heat exchangers, heating elements and pipes, resulting in lower thermal efficiency of the system.

The DIRTMAG(R) dirt separator separates off these impurities, which mainly consist of particles of sand and rust, and is highly effective in attracting ferrous impurities. The impurities are captured inside the dirt separator body by the strong magnetic field created by the magnets inserted in the special outer ring. The outer ring can also be removed to allow the decanting and subsequent expulsion of sludge, even while the system is still running.
Since the magnetic ring is positioned outside the dirt separator body, the hydraulic characteristics of the device are not altered.

Operating principle
The dirt separator works on the combined action of several physical phenomena: the impurities in the water collide with the element inside the dirt separator (consisting of a set of mesh surfaces arranged in spoke form) and are separated as they fall to the bottom of the element where they are collected. The large internal volume of the DIRTCAL(R) slows down the flow speed of the medium thus helping, through gravity, to separate the contained particles.
