This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in UN Development Business No. 646 of 16 January 2005.
The Republic of Armenia has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the Municipal Water and Wastewater Project, and it intends to apply part of the credit proceeds to payments for the procurement of water meters and test bench under Contract No. MWWP-C1.1/05/2-11. Bidding will be governed by the World Bank’s eligibility rules and procedures.
The Armenia Water and Sewerage Closed Joint-Stock Company (AWS CJSC) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply of following items:
1. Water meters on 1.5 (29,500)
2. Water meters on 2.5 (1,000)
3. Water meters on 5 (300)
4. Water meters on 10 (200)
5. Test bench DN 15-50 (1)
6. Installation of test bench and training
The bidders shall submit documentary evidence for minimum three years experience in manufacturing and/or 1 successfully implemented similar complexity contract for supply of water meters and for supply and installation of test bench.
The delivery period should be four months.
Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, January 1995 (revised January and August 1996, September 1997, January 1999) and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Armenia Water and Sewerage CJSC and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 0900 to 1800 hours (local time, GMT 4:00).
A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of US$ 100 or Armenian drams 45,000. The method of payment will be direct deposit to Armenia Water and Sewerage CJSC following accounts:
For US dollars: account No. 160483054419 with ARMSAVINGBANK (SWIFT Code ARMJAM22), 46, Nalbandyan Street, 375010, Yerevan, Armenia; or
For Armenian drams: No. 247010078175 with ARDSHININVESTBANK (SWIFT Code: ASHBAM22), 6, V. Sargsyan St., II Block, 375010, Yerevan, Armenia.
The document will be sent by courier services or will be handed to the bidder’s representatives.
Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 1500 hour (local time, GMT 4:00) on 14 October 2005, and be accompanied by a security amount of not less than US$ 8,000 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. They will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of the bidders who choose to attend, at the same address. Late bids will be rejected.
