The Government of the State of Ceará, through the Secretariat of Water Resources (SRH), has received a loan in various currencies from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (BRD) toward the cost of the Ceará Water Resource Management and Integration Project (PROGERIRH/CE), and intends to apply part of the loan proceeds to payments under the contract for the Preparation of Environmental Studies and Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Impact Report (EIA/RIMA), Population Cadastral Survey and Resettlement Plans. Services include the Execution of Environmental Studies and EIA/RIMA, Population Cadasters and Resettlement Plans for: Midwest/Ibiapaba/Acaraú Pipeline and Fronteiras Reservoir ? Platô do Poti Pipeline, to be executed over a period of 12 months Inhunçu, Arabę and Lontras Dams, Tunnel and Small Hydroelectric Plant (SHP), to be executed over the period of 12 months Macacos and Jacurutu Dams, to be executed over the period of 12 months Paula Pessoa, Frecheirinha and Tiaia Dams, to be executed over the period of 12 months Firms should express their interest in the assignment of their choice. The respective shortlisted firms will be defined for each assignment specified above. The SRH now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in executing one or more above mentioned assignments. Interested consultants must provide evidence of their qualification to perform the services (catalogues, brochures, description of similar services performed, experience under similar conditions, availability of adequate staff and availability of that staff to perform the services, etc.), by delivering their portfolios to the address below, by mail or through their respective representatives, not later than 2 December 2002. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the World Bank?s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, January 1997 (revised September 1997 and January 1999), under Quality and Cost-Based Selection Method (QCBS), for the execution of one or more assignments.
