Vláda republiky Tanzánie odbržela v rámci Světové Banky skládané financování na pokrytí nákladů projektu výstavby kanalizačního systému pro městkou vodovodní a kanalizační společnost ve městě Shinyanga. Vodovodní a kanalizační společnost města Shinyanga nyní vyzývá vhodné zájemce z řad konzultantů o poskytnutí konzultantských služeb, konkrétně vypracování kompletní studie, projektu, přípravy tendrových dokumentací a dozoru během výstavby kanalizačního systému ve městě Shinyanga. Vhodní zájemci o poskytnutí techto služeb (kritéria viz níže) mohou projevit písemně a přiložením všech náležitostí svůj zájem na níže uvedené adrese, o to do 28. září 2007 do 10:00. Ze zájemců, kteří projeví zájem o poskytnutí služeb bude sestaven takzvaný „short-list“ firem, kterým bude zasláno oznámení o podání návrhu služeb včetně technické a cenové nabídky.

This request for expression of interest follows the general procurement notice for WSDP that appeared in UN Development Business No. 696 of 16 January 2007.

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and Development Partners has set aside funds for the implementation of the Water Sector Development Program (WSDP). It is intended that part of the funds will be applied to cover eligible payments under the contract for the provision of Consultancy services for the feasibility study for the sewerage system, detailed design, preparation of tender documents and supervision of the construction of the sewerage system for Shinyanga Urban Water and Sewerage authority. The services will also cover design of the office building and supervision of its construction.

The services to be carried out by the consultant will include feasibility study for the provision of the new sewerage system, detailed study, engineering design of the sewerage network and the treatment works and preparation of tender documents. The consultant will be required to identifying office rehabilitation requirement and design of new office building for the Authority. The consultant will be required to produce and submit the detailed designs and tender documents for this assignment and supervise all the works.

The Shinyanga Urban Water and Sewerage Authority (SHUWASA) Tender Board now invites eligible consultants to express their interest in providing the above services. Interested firms must submit information indicating that they are qualified and capable of performing the services. The information should include: brochures related to past assignment, descriptions of previous experience with similar assignments, the names and contact addresses of clients served, availability of personnel with appropriate skills and qualifications among staff.

Each interested consultant may associate with other consultants to enhance their qualifications. The association may take the form of either a joint venture with all partners being jointly and severely liable for the execution of the contract in accordance with the contract terms or a sub-consultant. If any one of the consultants submits an expression of interest with intention of associating in the form of a joint venture with more than one partner on separate submission, that submission and all other submissions bearing the name of the consultants shall not be considered for short listing.

Consultants will be selected in accordance with procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers dated May 2004; revised October 2006.

This is not a request for proposals. After review of the letters of interest, a shortlist will be prepared and those short-listed consultants will be invited to submit their proposals (technical and financial) through a letter of invitation including the terms of reference for the consultancy.

Each expression of interest must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked Tender No. 01 of “2007/2008 for the expression of interest for the provision of Consultancy Services for the Feasibility Study for Sewerage of the Construction of the Sewerage System for Shinyanga Urban Water and Sewerage Authority (SHUWASA)”.
