EVTC to acquire waste treatment company
FORT WORTH - EVTC Inc. said on Monday it has a tentative agreement to acquire
Innovative Waste Technologies Inc., which treats and recycles marine and
industrial waste. EVTC, which sells refrigerants for air conditioners and
refrigeration systems, said the deal involves a $1 million investment in its
common stock, and is subject to shareholder approval and a definitive agreement.
A spokesman for EVTC, based in Fort Worth, Texas, was not available for comment.
EVTC\'s stock rose 17 cents to 33 cents shortly after midday on Nasdaq. It has
