Footage emerging from far north Queensland shows flooded homes, bridges and roads - and an animal being rescued from the Barron River, north of Cairns. One resident, Bazz Goes, documents his walk across the Barron Bridge in Karunda, noting that the water is at the level of the bridge, normally high above the river.
